What people are saying about working with Debbie Adcock:
Debbie came out to work with me and Hoss and was absolutely amazing. We worked for 3 hours and came away with real progress. She helped me break thru a log jam where I felt things were getting repetitive and not making progress. She helped me move from “mechanical” repetition of exercises to setting things up so that Hoss had a “puzzle” to work out on his own. So much more partnership involved. She also helped me understand the value of “soak” time for the horse – where I had been moving from successful completion of an exercise to the next without giving him time to think about it. Overall Debbie is awesome with an incredibly positive attitude to (and knowledge of) horsemanship that you cannot help but be a part of. Looking forward to working with her more in the future. I cannot say enough good things about Debbie. I have had my mare for 8 years and literally within two lessons Debbie was able to take our relationship to an entire new level!! Amazing. Debbie is so great with not only the horse but also understanding my personality and helping to put things in perspective. For example I used to be nervous in the round pen, especially when my horse would run full speed, snort, buck and kick. Debbie helped me see the round pen through the horse’s eyes, as a “play pen!” My entire focus shifted and now I can listen to my horse so much better and know that once she gets all that out of her system she is ready to ride and WONDERFUL! It is amazing how much my confidence has increased and how much better I am able to read and understand my horse. I highly encourage anyone considering calling Debbie to do it! It may be the BEST thing you ever do for you and your horse! Happy Trails! Debbie Adcock has a talent for bringing out the best in horses and riders! Debbie is dedicated to helping horses become more centered whether they are wild mustangs, young mares, or trained horses. She shares her knowledge and experience freely with others, helping the boarders at Clear Creek Arena and other students who come to her. Got a problem with loading your horse on a trailer? Getting your horse to be calm and confident? Want to learn how to do liberty with your horse? Want to improve your groundwork? Want to trail ride and cross obstacles with confidence? Want to develop a relationship with your horse that is a true partnership? Debbie is the person who will guide you and your horse every step of the way. She has infinite patience with horses and people, spending as much time as it takes to solve each problem. And she makes it fun, for both the horse and the rider! Debbie continues to attend clinics with many of the best horse trainers in the country, and she is always advancing her knowledge of horsemanship. She has a heart as big as Texas, and her ready smile is welcoming to everyone. Debbie brings an incredible amount I have creativity and savvy to her instruction. She continues to go out of her way to learn from and develop her horsemanship, studying with some of the top horsepeople around the country. I have taken lessons from Debbie for three years and she has transformed my horse. My horse, Pepper, was new to trail riding and was almost un-rideable. She threw me multiple times, shied at everything and was WAY too fast and strong. Debbie has changed all that. She is now quiet on the trail, rarely shies, will go through or around anything and is much more controllable. In short, a joy to ride. I would recommend Debbie to any rider for any problem. And she is also a lot of fun! 4/2020 It would be impossible to overstate what working with Debbie has meant to me in developing my relationship with my horse and becoming a more confident rider. Debbie is experienced, knowledgeable, always positive, fun; and probably most importantly for me, patient. As a result of working with Debbie, I now understand that my horse is focused on taking care of me as much or more as I am focused on taking care of him. We would never have achieved the partnership we have today without Debbie’s knowledge and encouragement. And although I could probably accomplish my riding goals without further instruction, I continue to take lessons from Debbie because (1) there is always something to learn; and (2) she makes it so easy and fun! Quite simply, Debbie is one of the best instructors I’ve ever had in ANY field of endeavor. I cannot recommend her highly enough! 4/2020 I have taken several private lessons from Debbie and I have watched her work with her own horses. The Parelli philosophy of “never ending self improvement” is what Debbie is all about. She is knowledgeable, explains the “how and why” in her lessons, and is a fun, engaging, encouraging instructor. Where can I start, I waited to wait and write a testimonial when I could find the right words and I still haven’t found them. Debbie was like the perfect horse loving mother I never had, thanks for being the best teacher and for making the hard work so much fun. One year later and I still haven’t found another teacher as good as you and I think I probably wont. I will need to fly you all the way to Sweden 🙂 All the best, I was introduced to Debbie by a mutual friend. Debbie is very knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging in Parelli natural horsemanship. She stretches me to grow by encouraging and supporting me to attend clinics and special events which has increased my confidence and knowledge. I have met caring people this past year on this journey to have a relationship with my horse, Baby. I am very grateful! Debbie has been such a blessing to my horse Okie and I. She’s professional, extremely knowledgeable, committed and passionate about helping her students develop a genuine partnership with their horse. I was brand new to Parelli and I started with a “very” green two year old. All I knew, was that I wanted to break him the Parelli way (saw it on YouTube). Debbie became our instructor mid August 2016. Thanks to Debbie, Okie and I have been developing our Parelli skills far beyond anything I ever imagined! Debbie as given 200% helping me become the partner my horse deserves and making Okie the confident, connected horse of my dreams. She’s absolutely amazing and a joy to work with! I always look forward to our lesson and never want to see it end. Debbie is a great instructor and detail oriented when she teaches. In particular, I feel that she is very patient with my mistakes and questions, and suggests various things that can help improve my riding. She also provides friendly atmosphere and emphasizes horse-friendly attitudes. I like how she teaches and her philosophy about horsemanship. 3/2017 I have studied with some of the best Parelli Instructors, including 5 star and 4 star instructors. The one thing they all have in common is a way with horses AND a way with people. Debbie has that in spades. I feel safe, and at the same time, have fun when with Debbie. She brightens up a room with her attitude and builds confidence in others. Debbie is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Parelli instructor! She takes the time it needs to teach a skill without rushing through it. Our lessons have made a huge improvement in the relationship between my mare Hope and myself. She is calmer, much more respectful, and I enjoy playing with her instead of worrying about her behavior. Working with Debbie has really helped me to be a better partner! Debbie has passion, focus, and a deep commitment to the development of a genuine partnership between horse and rider— putting the relationship first, and encouraging students to “take the time it takes” to cultivate that relationship. Her “can do” attitude, constructive criticism, persuasiveness, patience, and sincere encouragement have enabled me, a late starting older rider, to develop the confidence and skills I needed to become a much better horsewoman than I would have dreamed possible when I started this journey. Being new to horses and the Parelli Method, I was looking for an instructor who was informative, fun and passionate about what they wanted to share. I have had that experience and more with Debbie. She is kind, patient and full of knowledge. She loves what she does! It shows through her abilities with her horses and her style of teaching. I leave feeling like I have really accomplished my goal for the day. I had trouble trailer loading my new/younger horse. Debbie came and worked with us using Parelli techniques. I continued to practice until my gelding now just “hops” right into the trailer! He is much more confident because, as Debbie showed me, I gave him the time to learn “squeeze” games, walking up and down ramps and teeter-totters. Everything she suggested increased his confidence…and mine, as well!Martin Cross
